Welcome to my portfolio! My name's Stevie. I'm a non-binary choreographer, movement artist, and licensed therapist from Ohio. I most recently have expanded into screen dance, creative direction, and production design.
This portfolio includes work from all of my disciplines; so click through the menu for shortcuts or peruse on through.

I have independently toured my duet "Liar's Mane" to four states in the past two years. I re-staged the piece with a new cast for every festival. I choreographed this piece and designed and built the hair prop.

I have also done the creative direction and visual concept design for a professional photoshoot and several personal projects.Photo courtesy of Mutual Dance Theatre
I've provided a link to my Behance profile that shows several works from rough draft/visual prototype to execution:

In just three years of choreographing, I have presented work at Psychopomp's "Chaos" festival in California, the "Yes! Dance Festival" in Virginia, and the WHITE WAVE Soloduo Dance Festival in New York.
I have completed 7 choreographic commissions including a full length 30 minute work.
My movement artistry is based on extensive dance training. I have danced with DCDC2 (2012-2015), toured nationally and internationally with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (2016-2020), and performed with Mutual Dance Theatre (2021-2023) and as part of the Dayton Dance Initiative (2023-2025)--a collaboration between DCDC and Dayton Ballet.

Notable achievements include dancing Ray Mercer's piece “This I Know For Sure” in Shanghai, China, performing for Tedex Dayton with Dayton Dance Initiative, and receiving Wright State University's “Woman of the Year award” with a feature article entitled “Balancing Act”.

EDUCATION
AUGUST 2019 MASTER OF SCIENCE CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH, COUNSELING WRIGHT
STATE UNIVERSITY
APRIL 2016 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE PSYCHOLOGY BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE
CONCENTRATION, WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY

I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor with certification in dialectical behavior therapy. I've been providing outpatient individual therapy since 2018, with particular emphasis on personality disorders, mood disorders, and the neurodivergent and queer community. Psychology is a significant paradigm I use for choreographic study, and my clinical work with clients grounds this with real life experience that combats the detachment often seen in cognitive approaches to movement study.

Safe Travels 😉
